SafeNet offers a variety of counseling provided by Pennsylvania certified domestic violence counselor advocates. Victims of domestic violence are often isolated and blamed for their own abuse. As a result, their self-esteem and decision-making powers are eroded. Our program focuses on empowerment – enabling victims to deal with safety issues and objectively assess their options to begin the healing process. Group and individual counseling is accessible to both residential and non-residential clients.
Structured group counseling is available at a variety of sites throughout the area, but SafeNet is Erie’s only accredited domestic violence agency.
Individual/hotline counseling and on-site crisis intervention at hospital emergency rooms and other locations is available. You can set up an appointment or receive additional information by contacting our 24/7 domestic violence crisis hotline, 814-454-8161. You may also walk-in at our Admin Offices (1702 French Street) Mon thru Fri between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
