SafeNet’s Emergency Shelter
Victims of domestic violence and their children are often displaced from their homes when they are forced to flee for their safety from the violence of an intimate relationship.
SafeNet’s emergency shelter programs are critical in providing victims of domestic violence and their children with physical and emotional safety and sanctuary from abuse.
Victims of domestic violence may access emergency shelter services 24 hours a day-7 days week through SafeNet’s hotline number: (814) 454-8161.
Individuals seeking safety and sanctuary through our emergency shelter are able to receive:
- Support
- Safety planning
- Individual counseling for adults and children
- Support groups
- Legal advocacy
- Domestic violence education and advocacy
- Increased access through referral to mainstream community resources
These services assist victims as they begin to rebuild their lives free from abuse.
