Roberto Clemente Print to be Raffled off at the SafeNet’s Third Annual Chil- E- Cook-off

The Roberto Clemente portrait by Kevin John Jobczynski, celebrity sports artist is one of baseball's greatest players was commissioned for the Major League Baseball Chuck Tanner Manager of the Year Award Event 2008. Over 300 hours of labor went into the development of this landmark piece of art. Kevin-John's portfolio was reviewed and approved by the Clemente family to secure the rights to Roberto's image. Only 700 Limited Edition Lithographs were produced from the original art, 500 used as a premium gift to the attendees to the Major League Baseball Chuck Tanner Manager of the Year were used by the Clemente family to benefit the Roberto Clemente Foundation. The Foundation's official seal has a prominent position on the art. Kevin-John will be working closely with the Clemente family moving forward on other projects to help raise funds for the Clemente Foundation. This piece will be shown prominently at the 2008 MLB Winter Meetings in Las Vegas, December 8-11.

The lithograph donated to SafeNet is number 42/679. It carries a value of $1,500. These lithographs are not readily available to the public through retail sale. Tickets for the Clemente Lithograph are $10.00 each and can be purchased at the SafeNet Administrative office 1702 French Street or at Brewerie at Union Station 123 West 14th Street or that at the Third Annual Chil-E-Cookoff on February 22. The winner will be drawn the same day. Tickets for the Chil-E Cook off will go on sale January 15 at Brewerie and participating restaurants.

SafeNet is Pennsylvania’s oldest continuous running domestic violence shelter.
