Tom Corbett, PA Attorney General and Nationally Known Author and Lecturer, to Speak at SafeNet's Legal Conference

On April 16 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Bel-Aire Hotel and Conference Center, SafeNet will host their first Legal Conference entitled "Domestic Violence: Behind Closed Doors." This year's presenter is Lt. Mark Wynn, who is a 20 year member of the Metropolitan Police Department and has served as Lieutenant to the Domestic Violence Division. He was also a member to the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team for 15 years. He is a recipient of 121 commendations and 51 awards and certificates including the 1998 Nashvillian of the Year Award and the National Improvement of Justice Award. Lt. Wynn has appeared on many talk shows including Oprah Winfrey.

Our keynote speaker is Tom Corbett, Pennsylvania Attorney General. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Mr. Corbett took the oath of office on January 18, 2005 as Pennsylvania's 25th modern Attorney General, dedicating the resources of the Office of Attorney General to make the Commonwealth a safer and better place for families to live and work and grow. Topics to be discussed by Mr. Wynn will be Victim Safety, Threat Assessment, Strangulations and Stalking, and Responding to Children.

Cost of the conference is $55.00 per person and is recommended for social service workers, law enforcement officers, court staff, attorneys, drug and alcohol treatment counselors and victim services providers. If you are unable to make the conference and would like to attend the luncheon where Attorney General Tom Corbett will be speaking. The cost is $35.00.
