Violence Prevention Coordinator
Gannon University, a Catholic university, invites applications for a Violence Prevention Coordinator. Reporting to the Dean of Student Development, the successful candidate will implement all phases of the Department of Justice Grant by expanding and enhancing Gannon University's response to sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking on campus by ensuring a comprehensive and collaborative continuum of services that create a lasting violence prevention program on Gannon's campus. Will also build upon existing University and community resources to develop and institutionalize college-wide service, educational and prevention activities. Must be able to support and promote the University's Mission.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Women's Studies, Sociology or Student Affairs. Two-to-three years of experience in sexual violence prevention; familiarity with victim intake processes, coordinated prevention and response partnerships; and experience with the grant process would be helpful. Must have Act 33 clearance, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to lead a collaborative effort, and to plan and follow through; and project management training is a plus.
