Clemont R. Austin to Receive Susan Hirt Hagen Award

Clemont R. Austin was selected as the recipient of the Susan Hirt Hagen award for his gifts of time, treasure and talent to SafeNet, formerly Hospitality House. He was presented with the award on May 8, 2008 at a luncheon in his honor at the Bayfront Sheraton.

The Second Annual SafeNet Poker Run is coming up quickly - Sunday June 22, 2008 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Poker Run stops include:Second Annual SafeNet Poker Run

  1. Maci Mae's Saloon, 10004 Route 98 (98 and Old State Road), Edinboro
  2. Creekside Bar and Grille, 13973 Route 19, Waterford
  3. Kim's Townhouse, 21 North Main Street, Union City
  4. The Sunflower Club, 340 Metz Street, Erie
  5. Jr's on the Bay Sloppy Duck Saloon, 726 West Bayfront Parkway, Erie. Geek Army, a local band, will play at this stop with food and pop provided.

Once again we are in need of volunteers for registration and at each stop. Tasks include signing waivers, taking money, putting on wristbands, handing out directions/grid sheets, monitoring coffee and doughnuts, and clean-up. We also need volunteers for food and drink preparation, card draws, monitoring donation containers, and some other tasks. If you have some time and would like to donate your talents to this important SafeNet fundraiser, please call us at 814-455-1774, ext. 224.

The prize for the Poker Run's main drawing will be a Day Sail for two aboard the US Brig Niagara, Pennsylvania Official Flagship.
